Things are starting up
Well things are really going to happen. I will be going to work with an International Church in Bahrain (wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahrain). I hooked up with this church because the pastor of the church is actually the uncle of someone in my small group. This was just amazing how it all worked out. I was looking to go to Dubai, but that didn't quite work. I had some deadlines because I am doing this as a part of my Taylor Seminary degree, and it all just kinda feel into place right in time. It really was quite the God thing. I've been very thankful. Some things that have been lined up is that I will be living with 3 different families while I am there (I'm assuming one family a month type idea), and working in all sorts of areas in the church, from worship, to tech, to the youth group, to the college and career... should be an interesting and stretching time. If not busy. Currently, my visa is still being worked on, that is something that they are dealing with there because of how the rules and so forth are. So hopefully that will be sorted out soon. Other then that, I have a quite heavy semester of courses to work through before I go, as well as helping lead the college and career at McKernan Baptist. Good thing for Jaclyn who keeps me sane. All in all, I am quite excited for this summer as its going to be quite the experience, I really expect God to teach me much about my future, whats going on in the church around the world, the Arab culture, and all sorts of things about myself and who He (God) is.
