2 things people talk about...

Talking about the weather is just want we do to pass time if we really have nothing else to talk about, right? Well they have an equivalent over here, well actually 2 equivalents. They talk about horrible drivers on the road and Saudi's (sometimes a very related topic). Mass complaining happens about both topics. The drivers here are pretty awful though, and the Saudi plated cars are even worse, and from 1st hand tales of people in Saudi, they are down right suicidal over there. But anywho, thats not the point of this blog. About a week ago a friend had left their bike at the church and I was going over to his place, so I just rode his bike over. You really can't ride on the sidewalks, so there I am peddling away on the road with all the cars around me. I was quite pleasantly surprised, for all the cars gave me plenty of room and didn't do anything stupid around me at all. I was not really expecting that. I don't know if it is because I'm white or what. But they were quite nice indeed. Just another reminder that while stereotypes do exist for a reason, they are not always true.
